A toast to the Data & Analytics Facility for National Infrastructure (DAFNI) inaugural Scotland Roadshow!
The inaugural DAFNI Scotland roadshow took place on 22-23 October 2024 at the University of Glasgow.
On Day 1 of the event, Prof. Mathew Williams, Chief Scientific Adviser for Environmental, Natural Resources, and Agriculture at the Scottish Government, delivered the morning keynote. On Day 2, Olly Tones, Head of Data Sharing Technology, gave the keynote address.
The event also featured a series of “Lightning Talks” from Scottish universities, showcasing diverse research themes and the potential applications of DAFNI (Data and Analytics Facility for National Infrastructure) in advancing these areas. One notable talk was by Prof. Campbell Booth from the University of Strathclyde, who presented on the Ensign project. He highlighted how collaboration between industry and academia could drive the development of new technologies, including the creation of an integrated energy system digital twin to better understand future energy system behaviour.
