Last week, Professor Campbell Booth and Principal & Vice-Chancellor Sir Jim McDonald were honoured to speak at the “From Partnership to Impact” event, hosted by Thailand’s Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMUC) — a key government agency focused on advancing academic excellence and industry collaboration.
Professor Booth shared insights on the intersection of research, innovation, and commercialisation, drawing on experience working with both government and industry through initiatives like the EPSRC Prosperity Partnerships.
A standout example was the Ensign project — a successful collaboration between SP Energy Networks and academic partners — demonstrating how academia and industry can co-develop solutions for future, decarbonised energy systems.
This event showcased the growing importance of global collaboration in driving competitive, sustainable innovation. Sincere thanks to PMUC for the opportunity to engage and exchange ideas with leading voices from across sectors.
