Professor Campbell Booth, a leading expert in power systems and energy transitions, recently delivered a two-day course and workshop to the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) of Thailand, focusing on the future of grid transitions and the evolving impacts on distribution networks.

Professor Booth, Vice Dean – Research, Faculty of Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, shared detailed insights from ScottishPower Energy Networks (SPEN) on how future low-carbon distribution networks are being planned and implemented. An overview of the work that the Ensign project is undertaking was also presented.

The event underscored the importance of international collaboration in addressing global energy challenges and supporting national strategies for sustainable energy development.
