On Tuesday 2nd September, the Ensign team gathered at the Technology & Innovation Centre (TIC) at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow for a productive and insightful workshop. We heard updates from each of the five work packages, followed by a collaborative discussion on how to bring these elements together into a fully integrated Digital Twin model. The energy and expertise in the room were inspiring!
Day two took us to the Power Networks Demonstration Centre (PNDC) in Cumbernauld, where we toured the electrical network and explored the impressive capabilities of the centre. A highlight of the morning was the presentation from Matthew McClure (SPEN), who shared how the Ensign project and its outputs are directly relevant to SPEN’s business needs and future strategy.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the discussions and made the workshop a success. The momentum behind Ensign continues to grow, and it’s exciting to see how the project is shaping the future of energy systems.
