As a Distribution and Transmission Network Operator, SP Energy Networks keep electricity flowing to homes and businesses throughout Central and Southern Scotland, North and Mid Wales, Merseyside, Cheshire and North Shropshire.
This Prosperity Partnership is a direct response to the growing consensus that climate change should be treated as an emergency, requiring the transformation of the energy system with consideration to all stakeholders. Through the Partnership, SPEN will lead the project and provide use cases and data, ensure focus on innovative solutions and collaboration across partners, and direct the project to the creation of a reliable, resilient, and affordable energy system through real-time modelling, advanced analytics and integration of artificial intelligence.
Across our Innovation, Asset Management & Investment, and Data & Digitalisation teams, SPEN will help drive ENSIGN to ensure the project contributes to solving the challenges associated with operating our future distribution network. Our ambition is to develop the people with the skills as well as the systems with the ability to aid modelling potential future energy scenarios that will support us to continue to deliver our network efficiently as we meet Net Zero targets.
